Job Posting Guidelines for Employers

Employers! Looking to advertise your library and information professional positions to a targeted audience?

The Michigan chapter of the Special Libraries Association can help you reach librarians, information professionals, and library assistants to advertise your current employment opportunities. We will post your openings on our chapter’s website and send them out to a subscriber-based e-mail discussion list.

To submit job postings by e-mail, please include the following information:

  • Name of Employer/Recruiting Agency
  • Job Title
  • Job Description & Requirements
  • Application Procedures & Deadlines
  • Salary & Benefit Information
  • Date the Posting Expires*

Please send postings in electronic form to Judith O’Dell at odell1j@cmich.edu. We would prefer to receive plain-text files or the full-text within the e-mail itself. This allows us the greatest flexibility when disseminating the information to our membership. Any questions can be directed to our Employment Chair, Judy Matthews at the above e-mail address.
